I don't usually write journals on this sort of stuff, as it does seem to somewhat feed the dArama llama train. However, this is an issue very close to my heart (especially as I plan to do my university research project on the way we teach about sexuality and sexual tolerance in schools

).
I am consistently disgusted, but sadly no longer shocked by the sheer arrogance people assume to tell other people who they are allowed to love. I have no desire to get into a religious or philosophical debate about whether God exists and if He does, how weighty or truthful books like the Bible are; that is a different debate that should be discussed at a different time. All I will say is, quote me 'that' passage in Leviticus, and I shall assume you adhere to all 613 commandants regardless of whether you are a Christian or Jew. If you plan to use that passage as a literal way to live you life, please use all Biblical passages in the same way, thank you.

I would also like to send out a big love to those religiously inclined folk who believe that God is about love, not hate, and that we are allowed to love whoever we want, because love is what should prevail. You are stars of hope in a rather black sky of utter ignorance and stupidity. And even bigger love to those who may struggle with the idea of homosexuality, but who believe that everybody has the right to live their life how they choose and consequently do not pass judgement upon the way other people live / think / etc.

I spend a lot of time reading comments / blogs / whatever from people who want to be able to voice their opinion because 'this is a democracy'. Yet I also spend a lot of my time reading things from people who are somewhat confused that this democratic world is not a land of fluffy bunnies where everybody is happy. Democracy, by its very nature is a system which will spend a lot more time pissing you off than it will making you happy. If you want to state your homophobic view that's fine by me, you have a right to. But at the same time, I have a right to fuck an absolutely gorgeous woman. And I intend to take full advantage of said right.

If you believe in love, if you believe in fairness and equality, if you believe in justice and democracy, no matter how uncomfortable and irritated the consequences of democracy may make you, I urge you to either take part, or support
this amazing contest. Put a :
heart: (

) in the comments, +fav it and show those who are arrogant, ignorant and stupid that they are in a minority and that no matter what adversity it faces, love will always prevail.
Not only that, but the prizes are fucking lush too.

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated,
It is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
It does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
